- Firstly, Download ‘I8kfanGUI’ from the website and install it in your system. Open it after installing it and it will display the information about your system’s current status. Additional information may be displayed which depends upon the sensors available in your system.
- Then click on the circle next to Main operating mode located in the upper-left corner of the window. Then click on Manual fan control to adjust the fan’s speed. Click on Automatic temperature control to define the fan speed which depends upon the temperature of the system.
- Now click on the box for each fan under manual fan control. Some Dell models have only one fan and others have two. After selecting the box, move the slider and click on Apply button to change the fan speed.
- After that, click on Options and then click temperature control tab in the resultant window. This option will define the fan control policies for each situation.
- Then choose the type of situation from the drop-down menu next to Select temperature Policy. You have to select from four options i.e. Normal, Games, Office, and Meeting. You can also change the names by clicking the Rename Policies button.
- At last, click the OK button after doing all the changes. Then click the Close button to close the installed app.
